‘GOODNESS GRACIOUS GREAT BALLS OF FIRE!’
Not only did Top Gun: Maverick break box-office records worldwide, but it also gave the Washita Theatre their best run yet since re-opening their doors last September.
Over a whopping 750 patrons viewed the movie at the theater within the last two weeks.
The Cordell Chamber of Commerce has operated the theater using community volunteers for the past 10 months. Seeing its success has been an exciting experience for the Chamber as well as for those who wish to see Cordell offer this fun family attraction to the public.
“We have had people from both all over and locally come out to see the movie and support the Washita Theatre,” stated Cordell Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Sarah Lau. “It’s very nice and makes us want to keep doing this.”
Patrons have labeled Top Gun: Maverick as “the best movie” and “better than the original!”- and let’s not forget about the ever-so-delicious buttered movie popcorn, which receives rave reviews of its own.
“Hats off to the workers! Concession was quick and orderly! So impressed! So friendly and helpful. Good crew, good job,” expressed moviegoer Sheri Parsons.
Enjoy evenings with friends and family of all ages at the Washita Theatre every Thursday, Friday and Saturday beginning at 7 pm.
