    Canute 4-H hosted the Washita County 4-H Speech Contest April 24 th at the Canute Elementary School. Twenty-six 4-H members presented speeches in various divisions.

    Cloverbuds received a blue ribbon and a certificate. Cloverbuds included Kendallyn Gossen, Kayslie Kilhoffer, Layton McKee, Maria Misener, Shaelynn Peck, Ramee Schones, Rainsley Warnke and Richard Wright.

    In the Junior Division Regular Speeches, Claudia Evetts received the Champion Award and Blue Award.

    In the Junior Division Illustrated/ Demonstrations, Bailey Gossen received the Champion Award and Blue Award. Other participants receiving Blue Award were Barrett Brashears, Madilynn Davidson and Paul Misener.

    In the Junior Division Food Demonstrations, Katherine Wright received the Champion Award and Blue Award. Other participants receiving Blue Award were Dakota Higgenbotham, Abagail Schneberger and HB Wright.

    Intermediate Division Regular Speech Champion and Blue Award Winner was Bentlee Lester. Other participants receiving Blue Award were Cash Boston, Lylianne Smith and Makayla Gunter.

    Intermediate Division Illustrated/ Demonstration Champion and Blue Award Winner was Maddux Funkhouser. Other participants receiving Blue Award were Alexander Misener and Korben Gossen.

    Intermediate Division PowerPoint Champion and Blue Award Winner was Ruth Moser. The other participant receiving Blue Award was Braxton Barnett. Intermediate Division Food Demonstration Champion and Blue Award Winner was Abby Sirmon. The other participant receiving Blue Award was Grace Rose.

    Intermediate Division Team Food Demonstration Champion and Blue Award Winner was Macie Hall and Sara Misener.

    Senior Division Regular Speech Champion and Blue Award Winner was Luke Rozell.

    Senior Division Illustrated/Demonstration Champion and Blue Award Winner was Evie Denny.

    Senior Division PowerPoint Champion and Blue Award Winner was Brance Barnett. The other participant receiving Blue Award was Brianna Cross.
