Now on the 19th day of December 2022, the County Commissioners in and for Washita County met in regular session with Chairman Goeringer calling the meeting to order.

The Board discussed turnover audits for District 3 and for the Assessor’s Office. Dowell, County Clerk, provided information from the State Auditor’s office regarding the procedures and checklist used for a turnover audit. Motion made by Goeringer seconded by Gossen to sign Resolution No. 202253 stating the official’s annual salary following the vote of the Board to not increase the base salary of officials until at least 2025. Gossen, yes; Goeringer, yes; Tompkins, yes.
The officers met for the quarterly risk assessment meeting. Discussions were held regarding a lodging update to the travel policy. Due to lodging options changing throughout time, many places are no longer accepting purchase orders. Motion made by Gossen seconded by Goeringer to change the travel policy to read that lodging may be paid directly by the County through a purchase order or reimbursable to the employee on a travel claim at a rate not to exceed $147 per day which is equivalent to 150% of the state daily lodging rate.
