Washita Co. Commissioners minutes

Now on the 19th day of June 2023, the County Commissioners in and for Washita County met in regular session with Chairman Goeringer calling the meeting to order.

Chairman Goeringer asked Kristen Dowell, County Clerk, for roll call. Roll call was answered by Gossen, present; Goeringer, present; Chandler, present.

The Board reviewed the minutes of the previous regular meeting. Motion made by Gossen seconded by Chandler to approve the minutes as presented. Gossen, yes; Goeringer, yes; Chandler, yes.

The Excise Board met jointly with the Commissioners for the discussion of the 2023-2024 Estimate of Needs presented for the following departments: Treasurer, Court Clerk, Sheriff, Assessor, Election Board, District Attorney, County Clerk, Excise/Equalization Board, County Audit, General Government, and Sales Tax. The presented estimates will be provided to the accountant upon the end of the current fiscal year. No action was taken.

The officers and department heads met for the quarterly risk assessment meeting to discuss the estimate of needs, and the information, communication , and monitoring portions of the county wide internal controls checklist. No action was taken.
