Now on the 3rd day of April 2023, the County Commissioners in and for Washita County met in regular session with Chairman Goeringer calling the meeting to order.

The Board was notified of the receipt of the unclaimed mineral interest registry report received from the State Treasurer’s office for 2020-2023. The report is on file in the County Clerk’s Office. No action was taken.
Motion made by Gossen seconded by Chandler to sign the OSF Form 3 for reimbursement of the Election Board salary for the month of March from the State Election Board. Gossen, yes; Goeringer, yes; Chandler, yes.
Motion made by Gossen seconded by Chandler to approve a Transfer of Funds transferring $273,375.00 from the Highway fund to the Emergency Transportation Revolving fund for the repayment of funds to the Oklahoma Cooperative Circuit Engineering Districts Board. Jim Williams, Aflac, and James Grace, Leaders Life, were present to discuss a new life insurance policy option for the county employees. Motion made by Gossen seconded by Chandler to allow this optional policy to be offered to the employees at the annual enrollment. Gossen, yes; Goeringer, yes; Chandler, yes.
Kristen Dowell, County Clerk, discussed the annual insurance open enrollment process for the county employees would be held Monday, April 10th and Tuesday, April 11th at the Washita County Activity Center. No action was taken.
Motion made by Gossen seconded by Goeringer to approve the use ofAmerican Rescue Plan funds for administrative services payroll for the months of April, May, and June. Gossen, yes; Goeringer, yes; Chandler, yes.
Motion made by Chandler seconded by Gossen to approve the amended use of American Rescue Plan funds previously approved for scanners for the County Clerk’s office to now include a computer system, scanners, and backup batteries within the same funds allotment as previously. The Board discussed the installation of an audio and video system at the Washita County Activity Center. Vendors will be contacted to provide options. No action was taken.
The Board discussed the painting of the interior of the Washita County Activity Center. Quotes will be sought for this project and information will be returned to the Board for review. No action was taken.
The Board discussed the replacement or repair of the worn office chairs in the Courthouse. Quotes for the repair have been received. Quotes for new chairs will be sought and the information will be returned to the Board. No action was taken.
