Now on the 27th day of March 2023, the County Commissioners in and for Washita County met in regular session with Chairman Goeringer calling the meeting to order.
Chairman Goeringer asked Kristen Dowell, County Clerk, for roll call. Roll call was answered by Gossen, present; Goeringer, present; Chandler, present. Motion made by Gossen seconded by Chandler to approve the use of the concrete area on the east side of the Courthouse for a motorcycle route stop for a fundraiser for a Veterans memorial for the City of Blanchard. Gossen, yes; Goeringer, yes; Chandler, yes.
Motion made by Gossen seconded by Chandler to sign the agreement between Ryburn Construction Solutions LLC and Washita County for a well project for Washita County Rural Water District No. 2. Gossen, yes; Goeringer, yes; Chandler, yes.
Motion made by Chandler seconded by Gossen to sign the release agreement between Seven Cowboy Wind Project, LLC and Washita County acknowledging the receipt of funds for road damages and releasing the company from any action pertaining to the road damages as of the date of the agreement. Motion made by Chandler seconded by Gossen to appoint Roger Reeve, Meredith Perkins, and Greg Chandler as board member representatives for Washita County on the SWOR911 board. Gossen, yes; Goeringer, yes; Chandler, yes.
The county officers discussed the travel policy, current legislation, the risks associated with ad valorem protests, and the reporting of federal funds as part of the quarterly risk assessment meeting. No action was taken.
The officers discussed the addition of an out of state policy regarding lodging expenses. Motion made by Goeringer seconded by Chandler to add a lodging expense reimbursement amount for lodging outside of Oklahoma.
