Now on the 20th day of March 2023, the County Commissioners in and for Washita County met in regular session with Chairman Goeringer calling the meeting to order.

The Board reviewed the minutes of the previous regular meeting. Motion made by Gossen seconded by Chandler to approve the minutes as presented. Gossen, yes; Goeringer, yes; Chandler, yes.

The Board reviewed quotes received for a 60’ x 50‘ addition (enclosing of the east side) to the Activity Center for the relocation of the OSU Extension Office. Quotes were received from the following: L&C Metal Buildings - $80,500 using the existing concrete and $99,900 with new concrete and Byrd Metal Buildings - $78,950.00 using the existing concrete and $106,850.00 with new concrete. Motion made by Goeringer seconded by Gossen to accept the quote from L & C Metal Buildings with new concrete. Gossen, yes; Goeringer, yes; Chandler, yes.
Motion made by Gossen seconded by Goeringer to sign Resolution No. 2023-20 opposing the Federal Government’s “30 x 30” Land Preservation Goal. Gossen, yes; Goeringer, yes; Chandler, yes.
Motion made by Gossen seconded by Chandler to approve the use of American Rescue Plan funds, in the amount of $7,394.00, for changing the lights to LED lights in the front and middle area, kitchen, and bathrooms at the Washita County Activity Center. Gossen, yes; Goeringer, yes; Chandler, yes.
Motion made by Chandler seconded by Gossen to appoint Jared Baker as a Washita County Free Fair Board member for District 3. Gossen, yes; Goeringer, yes; Chandler, yes.
