Welcome rains drench local area with up to 5” of moisture

Flowers are blooming and grass is growing in Washita County after summer thunderstorms brought several days of rain to start off the month of June. The rain also brought a short pause to local farmers who were harvesting wheat. However, rainfall totals are still drastically down for the year and lake levels are low as the heat of summer quickly approaches Oklahoma.
