STRUCTURE FIRE IN BESSIE

According to Bessie Fireman Matthew Georinger, on April 13, at approximately 7:15 PM, the Bessie Fire Department was paged to respond to a garage / shed fire at the Thompson residence.

Bessie responded with two brush trucks, a rescue unit, an engine, and a tanker. Cordell responded with a ladder truck and six personnel. Clinton responded with an engine and three personnel. Sinor EMS was on the scene with two medics and a deputy with Washita County. Firemen from Burns Flat were on standby at the Cordell station.

Upon arrival, the firemen entered the structure. They effectively contained the fire, preventing it from spreading to the house or other structures and thereby minimizing the potential damage.
