In meetings held on April 7th and April 11th, the School Board of Cordell Public Schools voted to hire multiple staff members for the 2022-2023 school year.
The Board hired Kenny Horn as the elementary Principal. He will replace current principal Mike Higgins, who is leaving after just one year at Cordell Elementary. Horn comes to Cordell from Buffalo, Ok., where he has served since 2014. His wife Cindy Horn will be employed as a special education teacher.
Vaughn Blankenship was hired as the Junior High/High School boys basketball coach.
Judd Matthes will be teaching JH/HS art, Kelby Wilson was employed as JH/HS School science teacher, and Holly Campbell will be the new JH/HS counselor.
Sherri Pankhurst was employed as Director of Federal Programs, Curriculum/Instruction and Technology.
