After a successful race for the seat of Washita County Assessor, Rusty Bookout took the Oath of Office on Monday morning. He will take office immediately due to the fact that the election for Assessor was a Special Election to fill the position vacated mid-term by Georgia Lawson.
Bookout said “I am deeply grateful for the voters of Washita County and your support. I look forward to learning the process as quickly as possible. We will have an open door policy, so please feel free to come in with any questions or concerns you may have. My staff and I look forward to assisting you. Just as you pray for our world leaders, I hope you also keep your county officers in mind as well, so we will be abl3e to make just and sound decisions that will help Washita County prosper. Again, I thank you and look forward to serving you.
