Pixar’s animated film ‘Inside Out 2’ proved to be a winner for Cordell as record-breaking crowds converged on the Washita Theatre beginning Thursday night, June 13th.
Cordell Chamber of Commerce’s Sarah Lau reported that there were a total of 298 tickets sold during the weekend and 245 tickets sold at Monday afternoon’s matinee showing alone. This was definitely a record for a Monday afternoon time slot.
This success couldn’t come at a better time, as the Chamber has been fighting low attendance at recent movies.
“We are so grateful for the community’s support! The theater can only stay open through steady attendance from our patrons. We appreciate everyone who came out and hope to see you again real soon!” Lau stated.
