When the Courthouse steps became worn, Washita County’s Board of Commissioners chose to return to the deep red color that graced the steps many years ago. Countless citizens expressed their happiness at seeing the crown jewel of Washita County decked out with the vibrant color once again. Courthouse Caretaker Terry Britton spent hours perfecting the paint job on the west side and will soon start on the east steps.
