Waverly Schneberger, 10, and her horse Spirit won the Heart of Oklahoma Youth Rodeo Association barrel racing finals in Shawnee this past weekend. She also qualified as a Top 8 All Around Cowgirl, Top 8 Goat Tying and was a Pole Bending finalist. Waverly was also 53rd out of 170 contestants based on the cumulative amount of points earned throughout the 2022 rodeo season.
Waverly is from Burns Flat and is the daughter of Keith and Erin Schneberger.
Heart of Oklahoma Youth Rodeo Association (HOYRA) is a non-profit organization that was founded by a group of dedicated parents in 2002. It is open to all young people 19 years of age and younger. HOYRA’s goal is to provide the highest standard of sportsmanship and horsemanship and to teach the importance of humane and ethical treatment of animals.
