The public is invited and encouraged to attend a Special Board of Education Meeting at Cordell Public Schools on Tuesday, December 10th. The meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. in the High School Cafeteria. The audience will be asked to participate in discussions related to future bond projects.
At the meeting held in October, representatives from an architectural firm and a builder/contractor firm were on hand to provide experienced input on the feasibility of several different ideas for facility improvements and possible new construction. Audience members and officials weighed in on what things could benefit students and the long-term value of Cordell’s school facilities. Ideas such as an improved band hall and vocal music room, communal cafeteria, handicapped-accessible playground equipment, and a new Ag Arts building were among many possibilities discussed.
Both Superintendent Victory and various Board Members expressed the hope that the community would attend the meeting next Tuesday and be involved in the process, ask any questions they may have about the future bond issues, and give input on the future of Cordell Schools.
