Washita County’s Fire Departments hosted the annual Day at the Firehouse for Cordell Elementary’s Pre-K and Kindergarten classes. Children enjoyed a morning at the Cordell Fire Department learning about fire safety, sliding down the fire pole, and testing the fire hoses. They then headed to the city park where they ate a hot dog lunch cooked by the firemen and had a great time playing.
