Cordell Blue Devil Student Spotlight Danny Corbin

Danny Corbin is motivated to succeed in all he does and is full of ambition. His active involvement in Blue Devil sports has landed him as this week's Cordell Blue Devil Student Spotlight. Can you tell us a little about yourself? Are you in any sports, clubs, or other extracurricular activities?

I participate in football, basketball, baseball and track.

 

What is your favorite subject in school and why?

I've always liked science. This year I'm in Mrs. Boecker's Physiology class.

 

What is something memorable you have done/experienced from this school year so far?

I received All District Wide Receiver after football season. I was also awarded a Letterman's Jacket for being among the top 10% of my class.

 

What has been your favorite part of school and why?

I take my schoolwork serious, but my favorite part of school is definitely athletics and socializing with all my friends.

 

What is something your fellow classmates would be surprised to know about you?

I'm an open book, and I'm the youngest of four boys. If I haven't told you, one of my brothers surely have!

 

Is there anything upcoming that you're looking forward to?

This is baseball and track season. It's off to a good start and I'm hopeful for a lot of Blue Devil success!

Jacob and Miranda McGaha and Dustin and Mica Corbin

 

What is it that motivates you to try to do well in class?

My future is important to me. I've always tried to do my best, whether in academics or athletics.

 

How do you like to spend your free time when you're not in school?

Hanging with my boyz, Jordan, Brayden, Braxton and Scout.

 

What are your plans looking like for after you graduate? What type of career do you want to try to pursue?

Definitely college. I plan on going to nursing school to become an RN.
