This week our Cordell Blue Devil Student Spotlight is Blaine Larsen. Blaine is an impeccable student and thrives through Cordell athletics. Blaine enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his friends. As his senior chapter is coming to an end, the next one is sure to be just as exciting. Continue reading to see what his fellow classmates would be surprised to know about him.
Can you tell us a little about yourself?
I love all sports and participate in Football, Basketball, Baseball, and Track. I love to hunt and fish and spend time outdoors.
What is your favorite subject in school and why?
My favorite subject is English. I have always done well in that class and have had some really great teachers.
What has been your favorite part of school and why?
My favorite part of school has been sports. I get to do something I enjoy and it’s with my friends. I love competing and the feeling of accomplishment after a good win. I have made so many memories on a field or court that will last a lifetime.
What is something your fellow classmates would be surprised to know about you?
My full name is Cooper Blaine Larsen. Many people don’t know that my first name is Cooper.
Is there anything upcoming that you're looking forward to?
I am looking forward to playing our district in baseball. We get to host at home this year. I am also looking forward to my graduation.
What is it that has motivated you to be the best student-athlete you can be?
My coaches believing in me and pushing me to be the best I could has motivated me. My family and friends have also been the best supporters.
How do you like to spend your free time when you’re not in school?
I enjoy hunting, fishing, playing golf, and spending time with family and friends. At the end of the day, I’m always up for eating Hibachi.
How would you describe your senior year and what are your plans looking like for after you
graduate? What type of career do you want to try to pursue?
My Senior year has been really fun. Being a senior athlete has been the best part. I was able
to be a leader for my teammates. After High School I plan to attend SWOSU and pursue
a career in the medical field.
