Washita County’s Free Fair starts Wednesday, August 23rd with the arrival of entries from 3 – 6 p.m. Entries will continue to be accepted on Thursday from 9 – 11 a.m. (poultry and rabbits will be accepted until 5:30 p.m.)
The action will kick off for the public at 5 p.m Thursday. when the exhibit building, outdoor vendor midway, and petting zoo opens. At 6:30 p.m. Thursday, the Miss Washita County Fair pageant will take place at the Cordell school auditorium, and live musical entertainment by Quin Peterson Music will take place at the Fair beginning at 7 p.m. The Chamber of Commerce Bingo Booth will start at 6 p.m. on both Thursday and Friday. Friday’s schedule includes the Pet Parade Show at 5:30 p.m., Barn Yard Olympics at 7 p.m., and musical entertainment by the Hunter Hughes Band from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m.
Saturday will feature the Farm Bureau Skill-a-thon from 8 a.m. until noon as well as the livestock show beginning at 9 a.m.
