Cordell Elementary Vocal Students excel at State Honor Festivals

Cordell Schools’ vocal music program has some very talented students. Throughout the last few months they have worked very hard and have done well in several different competitions.

Selman, Hunter advance to Board of Education General election

480 votes were cast in the Cordell Public Schools Board of Education Primary Election. Three candidates, Randi Hunter, Dale Selman, and Nocona Cook were vying for the seat of Office No. 5.Incumbent Nocona Cook received 112 votes, Randi Hunter received 141 votes, and Dale Selman received 227 votes.

Candidate filing complete for Cordell’s April Municipal Election

One race has developed for Cordell’s Municipal Election, which will be held on April 1, 2025. Two candidates, Darryl Anthony and James Newman, Jr. filed for the unexpired term of Cordell City Council Member representing Ward 3. That seat is currently held by Cheri Nabors.

CORDELL NATIVE SCOTT MASON RECEIVES PRESIDENTIAL APPOINTMENT

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lee Zeldin announced that President Donald J. Trump has appointed Cordell native Scott Mason IV to serve as the 14th regional administrator of the EPA’s South Central Region, also known as Region 6.
