Sentinel grad named President of Warner University

Warner University’s Board of Trustees has chosen Dr. Gentry Sutton as the school’s fourth president.Dr. Sutton, originally from Washita County, graduated from Sentinel High School in 1993, where he was a proud Bulldog.

CORDELL WRESTLERS BRING HOME STATE TITLES AND MEDALS AT OKWA CHAMPIONSHIPS

Four young wrestlers from Cordell with Blue Devil Wrestling Club made their mark at the 2025 Oklahoma Kids Wrestling Association (OKWA) State Championships this past weekend, February 21-22, in Oklahoma City at the Jim Norick Arena.

Washita County 4-H recently held the 4-H Poster & Photo Contest in conjunction with the Washita County Junior Livestock Show. This year we had 123 poster entries and 44 photo entries. This event is sponsored by the Washita County Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee.
