Cordell Track Athletes Hit Their Stride at Velma Alma Track Meet

Last Thursday, March 13, the Cordell High School track and field team traveled to Stephens County to compete in the Velma Alma Meet under the guidance of head coach Colby Love. The team brought home six top-six finishes across multiple events.

The Oklahoma Home & Community Education Association of Washita County recently held their spring county council meeting. During this meeting they recognized 2024 Award Winners and new members.Each local club received $20 for their work and continued support of the county OHCE program.

ASAP Energy begins clearing lot for new convenience store and truck stop

According to ASAP Energy Inc. President Rick Koch, site clearance is progressing at the corner of Hwy 152 & 183 in Cordell and construction of a new ASAP General Store is slated for later this summer.
