Board Refinances Golf Course

The Crooked Creek Golf Course is a step closer to financial security, thanks to a recent refinancing agreement they entered into with First National Bank of Cordell. When the golf course was first developed, the board borrowed $250,000 from several area banks, said board member Jerry Burrows.

Central Arcadia: May 12. Elevation normal, water 68 and stained. Crappie good on minnows, jigs and tube jigs along riprap, rocks and shallows. Channel and blue catfish good on cut bait and shad along creek channels and river mouth. White bass fair on crankbaits and in-spinnerbaits along the dam.

Commission Changes Hunting Regulations

Deer hunters will have more opportunities to harvest antlerless deer this fall, and waterfowlers will have more hunting days in the middle of the season, after the Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Commission approved two resolutions in its regular meeting May 4.

Dear Athletic Support: I have two high-schoolaged boys. My husband and I are both lucky enough to work from home. We’re following proper social-distancing guidelines. Nobody leaves the house. The hardest part, though, has been trying to get through our days without sports.
