The young Lady Blue Devils softball team is still working to find their game, falling 9-1 and 12-0 to the Lady Eagles of Sayre last Tuesday, Aug. 13.

“We just couldn’t get the bats working with runners on,” said head coach Bobby Blackburn.

Cordell’s girls managed five hits in the outing, but it wasn’t enough to get past Sayre’s offense. Paige Canterberry hit for a pair of singles, with Abby Priebe, Andrea Palmer, and Piper Gallagher each adding another.

On the defensive side, Makenzie Hougland had the stop of the day, with an incredible over-theshoulder catch.
