The Cordell Lady Blue Devils worked hard battling the Granite Panthers, but unfortunately lost the game.

Head coach Whitney Misak told The Beacon that the girls hit the ball very well, they just left too many on base. She said, “I'm seeing improvement every game, now we just need to put it all together in the same game.”

Senior Andrea Palmer reported the team having a weak start, but strengthening as the game progressed.

“We played well defensively,”she said, “but as Coach Misak says, we need to learn to hit for power, not contact, and get the ball into play so we can start getting some runs in.”

The Cordell Softball girls are looking forward to their tournament this weekend in Arapaho. The first game of the tournament will be held Thursday against Binger at 10am.
