“This was our last high school tournament before the postseason, and there was some very good competition. That is exactly what we need this time of year to start ramping up for the regional tournament,” said head coach Dillon Ball.

The Cordell Middle School and Junior High wrestlers competed in the Clinton Tournament on Jan. 22-23. Briggs Reeves took first place in the 80-pound division, Jackson Eldridge finished third in the 106-pound division, Aiden Willard was first in the 155-pound division, Andrew Willard was 2nd at 170-pounds, Joe Wilson was first at 190-pounds, and Samuel Lindsey was first at Heavyweight.

“This group of young men has a very bright future ahead of them in wrestling. They are all very hard workers and it definitely shows on the mat,” said Ball.
