Wilma was born September 11, 1930, in Cowden, Oklahoma to Elmer and Elizabeth Klein.

Wilma was raised on a farm 16 miles east of Cordell, Oklahoma. She was active in many aspects of farm life and attended a one-room schoolhouse where she excelled in her studies. She graduated at 16 years of age and began working in the banking field in Cordell, Oklahoma, and rose to the position of Assistant Vice President.

She married Benjamin Franklin Medlin, Jr. on February 21, 1948. To that marriage were born daughters, Franna Jane Medlin and Janis Christina Medlin.

Wilma loved having the grandkids spend time with her in Cordell. They took small trips, went swimming, played miniature golf, enjoyed fishing, and had picnics in the back yard. She always said that was one of her favorite memories.

Wilma is proceeded in death by her father, Elmer Klein and mother, Elizabeth (Watson) Klein; husband, Ben Medlin; brother, James Klein; and sister, Mary (Klein) Windham.

She is survived by sister, Oleta (Klein) Pieratt and husband, Jim of Oklahoma City; daughters, Franna (Medlin) Ayres of Norman, and Janis (Medlin) Petrik and husband, David, of Renfrow, Oklahoma; granddaughters, Lucretia (Petrik) Nesbitt and husband, Justin of Bentonville, Arkansas, Ashley (Petrik) Hibbitts and husband, Scott of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and grandson, Justin Ayres and wife, Pamela (Chipman) of Norman, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Brianna and Garrett Nesbitt of Bentonville, Arkansas, Hudson and Alivia Hibbitts of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Porter Ayres of Norman, Oklahoma; and many friends and family.
