Patricia Aileen Townsend passed away Tuesday, May 12, at her home in Clinton, surrounded by family.

She was born Feb. 28, 1947, to Howard and Ethel Alfreda (Miller) Suggs in Cordell. She was an only child.

She grew up in Cordell and graduated from Cordell High School in 1965. In 1966, she married David Dee Hines of Cordell. To this union, two daughters were born, Rhonda Kay Hines and Christy Dee Hines.

Tricia was a homemaker but also worked several years at the Cordell Memorial Hospital in the dietary department in the early 1980s. After divorcing in 1978, she married Steven Carmichael in 1985. After his death in 1997, she married Tim Townsend in 2006.

She spent many years in the ministry, preaching the gospel and rapping songs that she wrote. Everyone knew her as RapN GranE. She touched countless lives in many churches, revivals and outdoor meetings with her music and preaching. She loved holding gospel meetings with her husband Tim and best friend Joann. She also enjoyed writing songs and has many, many notebooks full of songs and poems from over the years. She was compassionate,

She was compassionate, caring, and tenderhearted and would help or pray for anyone that needed it. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending any time she could with her daughters and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a very unique woman of God.

She is survived by her husband Tim Townsend of the home of Clinton; two children, Rhonda Scoggin and husband Mike of Cordell and Christy Harris and husband Robert of Cordell; eight grandchildren, Abby and Cayli Harris of Cordell, Andy Dallas and wife Rhya of Cordell, Trevor Kuczajda and wife Darcy of Cordell, Morgan Scoggin and Tarrah Sigler of Elk City, Mekhya Scoggin of Cordell, Travis Scoggin of Cordell, Leigha Dallas of Cordell, and Micheal Scoggin of Texas; 10 great-grandchildren, Kirsten, Paige, Ben, Garrett, Kazyne, Kylin, Nataly, Elijah, Knyx, and Noah.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
