Kerry Michael England, 74 of Cordell, Oklahoma passed away on January 20th, 2021 in his home.

He was born on June 15, 1946 to Millard and Joye England in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Mike grew up in Cordell and graduated high school in 1964. He attended SWOSU from 1964-1968 and graduated with a Teaching/Industrial Arts degree. In May 1968, he served his country in the United States Air Force reserves, as a prop mechanic at Tinker Air Force Base. He was honorably discharged in 1973.

He married Nancy McCoy of Clinton Oklahoma and she gave birth to twins, Jon and Jana, their only children. He later married Sheri Morrison from Cordell in 1990 and they were married until his passing.

Mike was a great athlete loving football and track. His hobbies included:

exploring the mountains in Colorado, skiing, fishing, jewelry making, and restoring Jeeps and Harleys. He had a huge heart for animals which resulted in adopting many strays over the years. He loved spending time with his law enforcement friends. His passion was knife making and he was truly gifted. He spent countless hours in his shop perfecting his craft.

His careers included Industrial Arts teacher, employee at Osborn’s in Cordell, Housing Manager at MODA in Burns Flat, Bail Bondsman, Private Investigator, Process Server and Knife Maker. Mike became well respected and known nationwide for his creativity and perfection with making custom knives.

Survivors include his wife, Sheri England of Cordell, Jon and Ginger England of Clinton, and Jana and Terry Grose of Highlands Ranch Colorado and six grand children: Jillian and Collin Wieder of Clinton, Eiley McCormick of Denver, Colorado, Jackson England of Weatherford, Jaelyn and Morgan Jones of Clinton, Kellen Baldwin of Highlands Ranch, Colorado and Jude England of Clinton. Also surviving is one aunt, Shirley Hadley Gugel, many beloved cousins in Oklahoma and Texas, 7 nieces and nephews, and a bonus daughter, Tami Estep.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Millard and Joye England, previous wife, Nancy McCoy England, and brother Steve England.

Celebration of Life Service will be held in Cordell, Oklahoma on Saturday, February 27, 2021. Location and time is pending.
