Ethel Maxine Mayes Thomas

Ethel Maxine Mayes Thomas, 93, of Cordell, passed away peacefully on Oct. 31, 2019, at the Cordell Christian Home. She was born on April 7, 1926, to Elwin and Corine (Touchtone) Lemasters in Dill City.

Ethel grew up and attended school in Dill City graduating from Dill City High School in 1944. She met and married the love of her life Glenn Thomas on Oct. 19, 1992. Ethel will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her daughter Lisa Roberts and husband Tommy of Duncan; grandchildren Timothy Lee and Jason Roberts; great-grandchildren Celestiel and Max Roberts; nephews: Clay Clayton and wife Anita of Elk City, Brian Clayton and wife Shirley of Clinton, Max Clayton of Florence, Colo., Rex Perky and wife Becky of Collinsville, and Rick Hines of Irving, Texas; niece Elwina Chason of Franklin, Tenn.

Graveside service was held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, Nov. 4, 2019, at Lawnview Cemetery in Cordell. Visitation was from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019, and from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019, at Ray & Martha’s Funeral Home in Cordell, Oklahoma
