Dec. 1, 1960– June 3, 2026
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Dorene Satterwhite, a woman whose love, strength, and devotion to her family left a lasting mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Dorene’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a loving mother, a devoted sister, a proud grandmother, and a cherished great-grandmother. Her heart was always open, her love always unconditional, and her home was a place where family knew they belonged.
She leaves behind her loving husband Mike Satterwhite; mother, Anna Spencer of Denver; her sisters Tina Spencer of Florida; Cindy and husband Joe Laurence of Denver; and brother Toby Booth of Florida; as well as a family that spans generations. Her children—Alan Johnson, Sharice Johnson of Denver, and Michael Satterwhite of Cordell.
She was also deeply loved by her daughters Jenevieve Cervantes of New Mexico, Michelle Cordera of New Mexico, and Jessica Harvey of Clinton.
Her family continued to grow, bringing her immeasurable joy through her seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, along with multiple nieces and nephews.
Dorene was more than the roles she held. She was a source of strength during difficult times, a steady presence when life felt uncertain, and a woman who cared deeply for the people around her. Her kindness, resilience, and generosity will remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
Though we grieve her passing, we also celebrate the countless memories she gave us—the laughter shared around family gatherings, the stories told over the years, the wisdom she passed down, and the love she gave so freely. Those memories are treasures that time can never take away.
As we remember Dorene today, let us not focus only on the sorrow of her absence but on the blessing of her life. Her legacy lives on in her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all those whose lives she touched. The love she planted continues to grow through generations.
Dorene’s journey on this earth has ended, but her spirit remains alive in every memory, every lesson, and every act of love inspired by her example.
May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with those who went before her, and may we find comfort knowing that a life filled with so much love never truly ends.
Forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.
