Donivee J. Cornelius, 77, of Elk City, passed away peacefully with family by her side on July 20, 2019 at the Baptist Village in Elk City.
She was born on Jan. 8, 1942, to Jonathan P. and Maudillis (Blanchard) Cornelius in Chickasha. She grew up and attended school in Lawton, graduating in 1960. After high school Donivee worked for Payton’s Jewelry Store. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cordell. Donivee will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her children, John W. Laughlin and wife Sheila of Cordell, Traci Williamson and husband Steve of Cordell, Richard R. Laughlin of Enid; grandchildren, Lisa Gregory and husband Jason of Cordell, Janiece Rizzi and husband Michael of Yukon, Tyler Williamson of Cordell, Jordan Delp and husband Joel of Dill City, Bailee Weems and husband Josh of Cordell, Devene Laughlin and husband Josh Crawley of Elk City, Christopher Laughlin and fiancé Santina Mayeski of Branson, Mo.; great-grandchildren, Emma, Grace, Tugger, Karysn, Adalynn, Oaklynn, RevLynn, Rayce, Hunter, Paige, and Gavin.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jonathan and Maudillis Cornelius, and brother Allen Cornelius.
Visitation was held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 22, 2019, and from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2019, with the family welcoming guests from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at Ray & Martha’s Funeral Home in Cordell. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at First Baptist Church in Cordell. With interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Chickasha.
