Shirley Ann McLaughlin

Shirley Ann McLaughlin, 71, of Cordell, Oklahoma passed away unexpectedly on September 8th, 2021 at her home. She was born on March 18th, 1950 to Walter and Ethel (Suson) Gray in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Shirley grew up and attended school in Chickasha, graduating from Chickasha High School in 1968. She met the love of her life Ralph McLaughlin, they were united in marriage on April 4, 1969. To this union a son, Steve McLaughlin was born. Shirley worked for the Drape Factory for a couple of years and Robertson Factory for many years, then she went to work as the Washita County Clerk for over 30 years. She was a member of the 4th & College Church of Christ. Shirley enjoyed growing things, cooking for her family, cross stitch, playing the slot machines at the casino and researching minerals. During the holiday season she loved decorating the christmas tree with her family, and made special desserts for each one of them. Shirley also loved her cats. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her family.

Survivors include her son, Steve McLaughlin & Stacia of Cordell, OK; Sister: Linda Foster of Moore, OK; Nephew: Mike Foster of Geary, OK

Preceded in death by her Husband: Ralph McLaughlin and her Parents: Walter & Ethel Gray.

Funeral: 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 13, 2021, Calvary Baptist Church, Cordell, Oklahoma

Interment: Parkersburg Cemetery, Clinton, Oklahoma

Visitation: 1:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Saturday, September 11, 2021 and 1:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Ray & Martha’s Funeral Home, Cordell, Oklahoma
