Fight for Jen benefit softball tournament raises over $8000

Monday August 23, 2021, Jennifer Cary was presented with her check of money raised from the #FightForJen softball tournament.

A total of $4,431.90 was raised and matched dollar for dollar by the Cordell Masonic Lodge #127 A. F. & A. M. for a grand total of $8,863.80.

“This could not have been accomplished without the help of the amazing community of Cordell and surrounding communities that all came together to play and support our wonderful friend Jennifer and her family,” one of the #FightForJen softball tournament organizers Toni Roaldson said. “HUGE thank you’s go out to Cordell Masonic Lodge #127 A. F. & A. M. who not only matched our funds but did all of the cooking of the burgers and hot dogs.”

“Thank you to all of the people and businesses who donated. Mikes Meats, Jason Giesler, Bar S, United, Western Equipment, Mike Robinson, Shorty’s, Rick Lindley, Brooke Dodd and From Scratch Bakery, Cordell TV & Appliance, High Plains Bank, Keith Gerlach, Panther LLC, Phil Kliewer, H2O, Spartan Spraying, Putman Auction, Ryan and Ashley Lee, Tia Dunlap, Bank of Cordell, Cordell High School and Cordell Summer League for use of the fields and concessions, Conley Ernst, Nathan and Carlie Larson, Fit Factory and all of the teams that participated in the tournament and all of the players who bought homerun bands and entered the homerun hitting contest. Most of all thank you to my co-organizers of this big event Kim and Jake Silman and Dustin Lesley. This would not have happened without all of the hard work you all did to help make this event such a huge success.”
