Paulette Sue Rivera (nee Gaeddert), 78, of Yukon, Oklahoma, passed away on December 1, 2020 after not recovering from a surgical procedure. Sue was born in Cordell, Oklahoma and attended Harold Mennonite Church with mother and father, Charlie and Mary Gaeddert. After graduating from Cordell High School in 1960, she attended Southern Nazarene College. While in college, she worked at Deaconess Hospital as a nurse’s aide, and then went on to St. Mary’s Hospital in Enid, Oklahoma.

She met her husband Bob Rivera. while in high school and they went on to marry in 1961 at the Vance Air Force Base Chapel. Together they have three children, Sonia Miller (Davis, CA), Cheryl Hall (Texas), Kris Rivera (Yukon, OK).

When Sue had her first child, she decided to dedicate her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother. Sue excelled at supporting her family members through the many passions and difficulties of their lives. She was always willing to help improve the lives of others, or offer help when needed.

Sue was a passionate collector! When she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and laughter, she could be found hunting her favorite baubles and beauties. We will miss her greatly.

Sue was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Mary Gaeddert, and her sister, Janie Cole. She is survived by her husband, Roberto (Bob) Rivera, of Yukon, OK, daughters, Sonia Miller and her spouse, Robert Miller, Cheryl Hall and her husband, Brad Hall, son, Kris Rivera and his wife, Crystal Rivera, 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Elsie Koehn of Midwest City, her brother, Richard Gaeddert of Enid, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

The burial will take place Friday December 4th at 11 AM at the Harold Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that a small donation be made to a breast cancer charity of your choice.
