Learning the system

Cordell Elementary students cast their votes on Nov. 3. Fifth- and sixth-grade social studies students helped create a mock election for the students to vote. Each student had their own Voter Identification card and were able to mark their own ballot on election day. This is a fun but important way for the students to be a part of something that affects them. Learning about our nation and the ways and whys we do things is an integral part to becoming a good citizen.
