With the spread of COVID-19 continuing at a record pace throughout Oklahoma and new cases turning up in Washita County on a regular basis, the District Five Health Departments will be offering a free walk-in testing site in Cordell from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, at the Washita County Activity Center.
The testing will be performed inside the activity center, not via drive-up like the previous testing site. The details of the process are still being deter mined, but in broad strokes, people will go to the site and sign in, then wait in their vehicles until their turn to be tested. People who are experiencing symptoms will use a different entrance and testing area inside the building from those who are not symptomatic.
More details will be shared as the process is finalized.
