Nurnberg Roofing LLC, of Corn, was recently awarded a contract to replace three sections of roof at Western Technology Center’s Burns Flat campus.

According to WTC spokesperson Sarah Hirschman, the $996,859 contract covers three areas on the east end of the college’s main building. Western Technology Center repurposed old buildings from the Clinton-Sherman Air Force Base to serve as sites for its industry training program. Those buildings were the connected to the main building with hallways.

Hirschman said the flat roofs, along with normal wear and tear over the years, have caused multiple issues with leaks over the years. The re-roofing project is intended to resolve those issues and improve the quality and safety of Western Technology Center for the students, faculty, and staff.
