The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is investigating the murder of 66-year-old Judy Mullin in Clinton over the weekend. Clinton Police requested OSBI assistance after Mullin was found dead in a camper early Saturday morning.
Clinton Police were dispatched to the scene after a convenience store clerk called 9-1-1 at 4:27 a.m., according to a press release issued by the OSBI. The clerk called 9-1-1 to request medical assistance for a man inside the store who appeared to be distressed. The man was later identified as 37-year-old Dennis Rigsby.
When police arrived to assist paramedics in helping Rigsby, they found the body of Mullin, Rigsby's mother, inside the camper in which the pair was traveling. According to the release, "there was obvious trauma to her body."
Rigsby was released from prison earlier this month after serving a 17-year sentence for manslaughter.
