Newman, Belcher-Gorley Win Tickets In Beacon Facebook Contest

Alan Newman and Ashley Belcher-Gorley will be going to Weatherford Friday to see comedian Ken Jeong perform live at SWOSU’s Pioneer Cellular Event Center. Newman and Belcher-Gorley were chosen at random after entering the Cordell Beacon’s ticket giveway contest by liking The Beacon on Facebook and sharing the concert post.

“This contest was about increasing our following on Facebook and creating additional value for our advertising clients,” said Cordell Beacon advertising sales representative Robyn England. “The contest put the show’s ad in front of hundreds of new people who otherwise may not have seen it. It brought new readers to The Beacon and created a great deal of exposure for the advertiser. Plus, we were able to give tickets away to a couple of our readers, it’s a win for everyone.”

England said The Beacon will be rolling out several promotions in the coming months to give advertisers more unique opportunities to get their messages out to potential customers. She is working to combine those promotions with different rewards to Beacon readers.

“The advertising world is always changing,” she said. “If we’re going to continue to be of value to our clients, we need to adapt to the changing ways people receive and react to information. That’s what we’re working to do, deliver relevant information to our readers in ways that increase our value to our advertising customers.”
