The Dill Work and Play OHCE met Aug. 8, 2019, at 1:30 p.m. in the Dill City Community Center. Darlene Moore called the meeting to order and Wilma Gaithright led the pledge to the flag.
Emma Bingham gave a devotional, Joy-Love One Another, using John 15:9-17. Emma called roll with members answering with one item they plan to enter in the fair. There were four members present. Emma read the minutes from the July meeting.
Lowayne Piercey gave a report on the 4-H. The Burns Flat-Dill City 4-H clubs are starting with enthusiasm. They are making plans for the year, electing officers, and preparing for the county fair. Emma gave a report on the foster children project. The Dill Work and Play purchased several pairs of shoes to start them off with school.
Darlene Moore gave the program, See You At The Fair. Plans were finalized and everyone is getting excited. The Washita County Fair will be held Aug. 21-24.
Wilma Gaithright showed a cultural art of a little bird moving into a little decorative house in their back yard.
Wilma Gaithright led the group saying the Lord’s Prayer. Darlene Moore and Emma Bingham served refreshments to Emma Bingham and Lowayne Piercey. Darlene gave a door prize won by Emma.
