WTC Students Attend National Conference

Students from the Western Technology Center Biomedical Academy recently attended the Health Occupation Students of America national conference in Orlando, Fla.

Chase Dewees represented WTC and the state of Oklahoma as a state officer for the national organization and received a $1,000 scholarship. Sharise Whitney was awarded the HOSA Happenings Award for outstanding journalism. Whitney, Khate Solis, Alissa Seisser, Kyda Gossen, Montana French, Leana Meza, and Dewees were recognized for their community volunteer service.

“WTC Biomedical HOSA had an eventful year,” said program advisor Shane Brashears. “With multiple state winners and a national showing, the WTC Biomed program had a great year. With the open of a new year, WTC Biomed looks to achieve more next year and serve this community with distinction.”
