Council Extends Restrictions, Closes Pool

During Monday evening’s meeting, the New Cordell City Council voted to approve a modified version of the mayor’s emergency declaration, and also voted to close the city’s public swimming pool for the 2020 season.

Cordell Man Charged With Felony DUI

A 20-year-old Cordell man is facing up to 20 years in prison following his arrest in Beckham County on a felony charge of driving under the influence of an intoxicating substance with great bodily injury.

March 25, 4:24 a.m. - A caller reported a vehicle “that is sitting outside this house and going to try to cause some issues.” Cordell Police responded. March 25, 5:04 a.m. - Cordell Police investigated heavy smoke in the area of the high school football stadium.

Central Arcadia: April 14. Elevation above normal, water 61 and turbid. Crappie excellent on minnows and jigs in coves, along riprap and shorelines. Channel and blue catfish good on shad and worms along the river mouth. Saugeye good on crankbaits, minnows and worms around points, riprap and rocks.
