Thanksgiving is a time of giving thanks, feasting and reaffirming long held traditions. Thanksgiving 2020 may be different for a lot of people due to COVID19.
Hopefully everyone can safely spend quality time with friends & family on this most American Holiday.
In honor of National Rural Health Day, which was Nov 19, Cordell Memorial Hospital sponsored a coloring contest for the elementary kids, pre-K through third grade. Two winners were selected from each grade and were awarded a certificate and a Sonic gift card.

This year’s Christmas in the Park event will be significantly different than in years past.
Because of the COVID-19 spike in cases locally and across the state, the Cordell Chamber of Commerce decided to move to a virtual event.
The second annual Christmas Bazaar may offer you one major convenience this holiday season.
It could be your one-stop shopping experience.
This year’s Bazaar will be Dec. 5-6 at the Washita County Activity Center (corner of 3rd Street and Massingale) in Cordell.
Cordell Schools will institute virtual learning through Dec. 7, according to a post by Superintendent Brad Overton on the district's Facebook Page.
"As you know our community has been hit hard with COVID this past week," the post stated.
