Concert In The Park event planned for this weekend

This weekend, Cordell residents will have the chance to enjoy some bluegrass music as the Wichita Bluegrass Band makes its way to Cordell. Formed in 2004, the band focuses on bluegrass and bluegrass gospel music, a genre popularized by Bill Monroe who is popularly known as the “Father of Bluegrass.

LOCAL FAMILY SAFE AFTER HOUSE FIRE

Kenneth Keeton, Cherie Olson, and their dog Sully Two Cordell residents have lost their home following a house fire that took place over the weekend. On Sunday, September 19, Cherie Olson and Kenneth Keeton woke up coughing from smoke generated by the fire that started around 10:30 that morning.

HOGSTOP pesticide approved for use in feral hog control

A new pesticide is now available to farmers as an aid in the fight against feral hogs. On August 5, HOGSTOP Oral Contraceptive Formulation was registered with the Oklahoma Dept. of Agriculture, Food and Forestry. HogStop claims to decrease the fertility of male feral hogs by reducing sperm count.
