Next Monday, November 8th, will be our annual Bean Supper and Carnival at the Washita County activity center in Cordell. Come join us for beans, baked potatoes and all the fixings from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., then from 6:00 to 7:30 the carnival will be held in the show arena at the fairgrounds .

Local tattoo shop owner Rachel Jones thinks ‘outside the box’ with her many ways to contribute to the community. In this case, however, her idea just happens to be ‘inside the box.’ The Blessing Box, to be exact. Jones currently owns and operates Wookies Tattoo and Body Piercing in Cordell.

Kids of all ages enjoy Halloween festivities

Area families flooded the historic downtown square in Cordell on Saturday, October 30th for the Spook the Square Halloween event. Local businesses reported that they handed out treats to over 500 costumed children and teens Many adults also joined in with costumes of their own.
