April 21, 2021: School Board Member Ronnie McKee retires after serving 12 years Ronnie McKee was recognized for 12 years of service on the Cordell Public School’s Board of Trustees at the school board meeting held Monday, April 12th.

Readers of the Month

WASHITA THEATRE HOSTS SCHOOL FIELD TRIPS

Cordell’s Washita Theatre has been a busy place during the month of December. Elementary schools from Clinton, Canute, and Cordell enjoyed trips to the theater to watch Christmas movies and enjoy popcorn and snacks. This was the first trip to a movie theater for many of the children.

Volunteers prepare and deliver Christmas food boxes to area families

Each year the Cordell Ministerial Alliance organizes a drive to fill boxes with food and household necessities and distribute them to homes in the local area.

McKenna Wedel Chosen as DAR Good Citizen

McKenna Wedel has been selected as the DAR Good Citizen for Cordell High School for 2021-2022. Washita Chapter NSDAR sponsors this program each year for 21 area high schools . The DAR Good Citizen Program and Scholarship Contest is intended to encourage and reward the qualities of good citizenship.
