Western Technology Center (WTC) was honored by the Department of Defense for its participation in the STARBASE Youth Program. STARBASE is celebrating 25 years in Oklahoma. WTC is the only CareerTech to partner with STARBASE providing 5th and 6th grade students with the perfect collaboration and partnership of Career Pathways and STEM education. This is WTC’s fifth year of partnering with STARBASE and 11 local schools.

STARBASE Oklahoma is an Oklahoma National Guard Youth Program. As part of a national program, STARBASE seeks to intervene in the lives of children during their elementary and middle school years. The positive role model of the citizen soldier, coupled with the latest in technology, provides a rich environment for students to dream and set goals. STARBASE Oklahoma typically serves 4000 or more students across Oklahoma each year.
