July 1, 11:12 a.m. - A caller contacted dispatch to report someone trying to pass stolen checks at a local business.

July 1, 12:48 p.m. - A man called to report that while he was sitting down watching television his wife tried to stab him with a pair of scissors. The man said the woman is normally verbally abusive, but not physically, and asked that a deputy be sent out to speak with her.

July 1, 4:55 p.m. - A woman brought a piece of mail she received into the sheriff’s office containing cash money and a survey for the census. She was not sure if the mail was legitimate or a scam.

July 2, 12:04 a.m. - A caller reported approximately six head of cattle on Highway 152 west of Cordell. The caller said he thought an SUV may have hit one of the cows, as it was sitting on the side of the road.

July 2, 6:13 a.m. - A caller reported being behind a vehicle that was “all over the roadway,” and driving without lights and at various speeds between 70 and 80 miles per hour.

July 2, 12:01 p.m. - A caller reported a suspicious person walking between the buildings at Canute schools.

July 2, 12:34 p.m. - A woman called to report her daughter was out of control and requested law enforcement assistance.

July 2, 2:02 p.m. - A woman requested a welfare check for another woman who said her boyfriend had a gun and was shooting at her. The woman said her boyfriend does have a gun but he was not shooting at her, he was just mad because she stole his cell phone.

July 2, 3:25 p.m. - A caller reported several cattle were about to die because they were starving.

July 2, 6:13 p.m. - Cloud Chief fire responded to a hay bail on fire.

July 2, 7:53 p.m. - A caller reported a cow in the middle of the road on Highway 44.

July 2, 8:45 p.m. - A woman reported being attacked and assaulted when picking up her children.

July 2, 9:24 p.m. - A caller reported a stopped car on Highway 152 with its flashers on and partially blocking the roadway.

July 3, 12:53 a.m. - A caller reported three adults, a child, and a dog were walking near her home and were being loud enough that it woke her husband and they subjects “were just being a nuisance.”

July 3, 1:43 a.m. - A caller reported the “firecracker bandits” were at it again. Her husband went outside with a gun to confront the suspects. She further advised they started “shooting missiles off at her.” She said it was a hate crime because they don’t like her.
