Clinton’s hospital is bringing back a familiar face.

AllianceHealth Clinton has hired family nurse practitioner Lindsi Walker to practice in its QuickMed Clinic.

“We’re thrilled to bring Lindsi back,” said AllianceHealth Clinton CEO Landon Hise. “Her years of experience here in Clinton will be a tremendous asset.”

Walker practiced in Clinton for more than five years before joining Cordell Memorial Hospital where she has been for the last two years.

Walker will begin seeing patients in Clinton March 2. Though she will be located in the QuickMed clinic, which is similar to an urgent care clinic, she will also see primary-care patients.

Walker earned a BS in Nursing from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 2002. Then, in 2011, she earned an MS in Nursing from Graceland University to become a family nurse practitioner.

Family nurse practitioners are advanced nurses who work independently or in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. Since they possess a graduate-level education, as well as clinical training in family medicine, family nurse practitioners are qualified to diagnose and treat complex health conditions.

“Having Lindsi back in the Clinton community will fill a much needed primary-care void,” Hise said.

The QuickMed clinic is located at 123 S. 9th Street in Clinton.
